Cycling in the Saarbrücken region
The region around Saarbrücken is criss-crossed by a dense network of recreational bike paths, known as the Velo visavis routes. They flow into the Saarland-wide network of cycling trails, which in turn join the supra-regional biking routes to neighbouring France and Rhineland-Palatinate. Some of the most popular routes are through the valleys of the rivers Saar, Blies and Moselle – perfect for bike trips of several days with fascinating stop-offs along the way.
