Program Velo Swing Festival 2025
We will be in and around Saarbrücken Castle throughout the weekend. The Swing Pavilion is our central meeting point and is located on the Schlossplatz (open all day on Saturday and Sunday). We have a dance floor where you can dance to the best swing music all day long. You can also get information and exchange ideas about the festival, Lindy Hop dancing, bicycles, swing and bicycle history and music in a cosy atmosphere. Around the pavilion you will find the best food and drinks to enjoy the flair of the festival.
While the new vintage playground invites visitors to browse on the lower part of the Castle Square, numerous activities and offers attract young and old to the upper part around the Velo-Swing Pavilion. There - on the Cour d'honneur - the hustle and bustle is on:

The centrepiece is the outdoor dance floor with lots of dancers and groovy swing music. On Saturdays and Sundays, there will be swinging all day long, so that no shirt will stay dry... At the dance floor, you can also sit down and watch, learn about the dance and the music, inform yourself about the swing dance culture and the Lindy Hop Saarbrücken dance scene and exchange ideas. Here you can even learn the dance directly in small taster sessions.
In addition, there will be cycling fun for young and old on Saturdays and Sundays: The German Bicycle Museum will be offering its fun bikes for you to try out!

Fun Bike Course
The fun bike course of the German Bicycle Museum Bad Brückenau has been an integral part of the Velo-Swing Festival programme from the very beginning. Young and old cyclists can test their skills here. For example, on a bicycle with an off-centre suspension that hobbles across the Schlossplatz like a stubborn pony. Or on a tandem where the partners sit side by side instead of behind each other. Adults can take a spin around the Schlossplatz on a real penny-farthing.
The fun bikes are available free of charge all weekend. Hanna, Jonas and Tim from the German Bicycle Museum team will be happy to help you.
This year they will even be there with their historical exhibition. Here you can see and touch history. How did the bicycle get from the Hochrad to the Niederrad, what was and is the significance of the bicycle?

And if you want to get creative yourself, you can design your own individual festival souvenir. For this purpose, we have our own spray booth, but also a highlight for our little ones. Our little ones can paint pictures together with our master painter Mootz and make their own Velo-Swing mask. At our spray booth, we will provide you with various textile paints to spray on, stencils with elements matching the Velo-Swing Festival, as well as shirts, bags and backpacks. You can also bring your own textiles and design them on site.
Food Trucks
There will also be plenty of food and drink: We have cooperations with Comame with its best coffee, Vegan Food Truck, Tuni Snack, Ice Cream from Henrys, Drinks from Lindy Hop Saarbrücken and on Sunday we have Pizza from Aperia.
